Hi I'm Ryan.

I love the outdoors. Science is a passion of mine, and I manage a laboratory. I'm a father of four. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

By day, I work with a dedicated group of scientists. By night, I help my lovely wife clean up after our kids. It isn't always easy to raise four small children. We do find time to play together, work together, and enjoy the mountains near to our home. We worship together each Sunday. I used to spend a lot of my time recreating in the great outdoors: cycling, backpacking and fishing. Now, I choose to spend my spare time with my kids, which I find much more rewarding. We still go camping, and I strive to foster a love of nature in my children, much like my father did for me.

Why I am a Mormon

As I seek to live the gospel of Jesus Christ, I feel the Holy Ghost touch my soul, which I believe is our Heavenly Father's way of telling us that what we are doing is right. I also believe that it is through these witnesses of the Holy Ghost that we can know the truth of all things. Through personal experiences with these feelings, I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true, is led by a living prophet, and teaches the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I have the privilege of leading and serving a group of young fathers and young men in the congregation with which I worship. We share a deep sense of responsibility for the welfare of our families. I feel a great love for these men and their families. Each year, a group of us goes skiing, another group climbs a 14er, and we all participate in family picnics, socials and game nights. Most importantly, we visit each other regularly, and help each other out in times of need. We serve our community, and we bless one another's lives as we strive to follow Christ's teachings.
