Hi I'm David

I am a dentist, commercial pilot and flight instructor. I love to fly and by the way I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a Dentist for over 29 years. I also serve as a US Army Reserve Dentist and Commander of a Hospital Unit. I really enjoy flying and giving flight instruction in airplanes and gliders. I am an avid chess player and love to read about aviation and military history. My family is amazing. I have been married for 30 years and have three grown children.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was in college I really wanted to know which Church was true for myself. I read the Bible and listed down on paper all the requirements of the Church of Christ; A living Prophet, 12 Apostles, Baptism by Immersion, the laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost, Priesthood Authority (Aaronic and Melchizedek), Revelation, lay ministry, the payment of Tithes and Offerings, live by the Ten Commandments, pray to the God in the name of Jesus Christ, Partaking of the Sacrament of Christ, Sabbath day worship, healing the sick, the name of Church would be called after the Name of Jesus Christ, faith, service to fellow beings, Missionaries to all the world, Good works and Temples to worship the most high God. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only Church to profess to have all of these things and more. And the promise to live with my family in heaven by following Christ and keeping his commandments. This seemed so simple and obvious to me. This is why I am a Mormon today!

How I live my faith

I teach Sunday School each week at Church and love discussing the teachings of Jesus Christ and how he served the people. I am actively involved in the Boy Scouts of America and love working with the youth in the community. I volunteer with the Civil Air Patrol and help train pilots who fly emergency search and rescue missions along with Flight Academy training for the cadets. I have served many years treating persons with disabilities and providing dental care. I feel this is a way to give back to my Saviour Jesus Christ for the sacrifice he has made for me.

Why do you have 12 Apostles? They were just meant to be around for the time of Jesus Christ, not to be replaced with new apostles.

Christ personnally selected and ordained 12 Apostles by the laying on hands to serve as witnesses of Jesus Christ to the world. This was the model Christ set-up for his Church and the pattern for its organization for the future. The last instruction Christ gave to his Apostles was to go to all the world and Baptize in his name until his return. Since Christ has not returned to the world yet, I would assume his instruction is still in force to the Church today. Show more Show less
