Hi I'm Julia

I am a pediatric occupational therapist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in rural California which led me to love the outdoors, sports, and gardening. I moved to Los Angeles to go to grad school in Occupational Therapy and somehow haven't been able to escape the pull of the beach and the sunshine yet.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I found out for myself that Jesus Christ has restored His church to the earth at this time. My life is ultimately better when I am living the teachings and ideas set forth in this church. Of course I have hard times when things don't seem to make sense but the gospel gives me the perspective that I need to keep moving forward. I love that we have a prophet on the earth who literally speaks to God and receives revelation from Him. But I am also grateful for the chance to have a personal relationship with God and receive my own revelation and help when I need it. The more I live the gospel and develop a testimony for myself the more I realize that the gospel of Jesus Christ permeates all that I do in my life--a realization that I am grateful for every day.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day through helping children with disabilities achieve their greatest potential as students and individuals. I also get to interact with the young women (ages 12-18) in the church in my area helping to plan activities and build their testimonies of Jesus Christ. The youth are truly amazing.
