Hi I'm Melissa!

I am a wife, a mother of four children, a grandmother, a traveler, a quilter and a reader. And I am a Mormon!

About Me

My husband and I met at college and then went on to Dental School in Virginia. We met some of the neatest people and really loved our experience there. Our first daughter was born there. We then did a residency in California and had our second daughter there. I can actually say I have had children from coast to coast! We moved to Idaho to start our dental practice and had a our first son! We also added a third girl to the family four years later! We love college football and have done the Fiesta Bowl road trip twice! I love to read and go to anything my kids are involved in. I also am a big quilter and have even been on a "Quilting Cruise" with my great husband!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church all my life. I've always had a desire to live a happy and worthwhile life. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is my iron rod that helps guide myself and my family through out these turbulent times. There is so much joy each day and because I know the plan that my Heavenly Father has for us I am comforted. Jesus is my Savior and I want to continue each day to give gratitude for all that I have been blessed with. Both the trials and the joys! Because that is what this "life" experience is about. We are not perfect and that is why we have the gift of the Atonement that I am so grateful for. The Gospel is the answer to a happy life!

How I live my faith

I love to be involved in many things. I have been in a bunco club with my neighbors for almost 20 years! I am the only Mormon and I love it when they ask me questions and tease me. I am also in a quilting club that brings together women with all different backgrounds. I love to read and have been in a book club for 22 years. I love to volunteer in my kids schools. I am a visiting teacher and I was just called to be the Young Women's Leader! I get to work with all the young women from ages 12 to 18. It is so much fun to watch these beautiful daughters of God grow up.
