Hi I'm Matt

I'm the President of a competitive swim , I have a lovely wife, 4 daughter and 2 grandsons,I practice Jiu Jitsu and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am have reddish blonde hair and was raised in Wyoming. I speak Cantonese and Mandarin Fluently and it really shocks people to see Chinese words come from a head that looks so non Asian. My kids get a kick out of it. We live in Southern California in a very heavily Chinese populated area so I get many chances to use what I have learned. When people ask me why I can speak Chinese I explain to them that I was a Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Hong Kong from 1980-1982.

Why I am a Mormon

My family has been Mormons forever. We go back to the 1850's when our ancestors were baptizes in Wales and moved to Utah. We have been members ever since. I guess you could say it is part tradition for us but each one of us has also had to at some point in our lives come to the realization that this is the only Church on the Earth today that has the full doctrine of Jesus Christ. I came to that realization during my Freshman year of college as I was praying pondering, reading the scriptures to get an answer if I should serve a mission. The answer came to me very strongly that I needed to be serving the Lord so I submitted my papers. I had other strong experiences that reinforced that decision. Mostly I am Mormon because I believe it is the best way to worship Christ and help others come unto him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by giving of my time and energies to help those in need. I feel that Charity is truly the Pure Love of Christ. I spend many hours each week involved in my Church Calling and working to help the youth to make it through some of their most volatile times when they are striving to find themselves.
