Hi I'm Dixie

Growing up in Idaho I learned to love camping...I learned to love camping almost as much as I love being a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Wife, to the most patient Man I know. I am a Mother of Two Intelligent, Beautiful, and Fun-Loving Children...I like to spend my time in the service of others and I've found for me the best way is in volunteering as much of my "free-time" as I can at my child's elementary school, helping where my talents are utilize to the best.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church and was raised Mormon. I didn't truly understand what I believed until I was in my mid 20's. While waiting for my older brother and younger brother to finish up with their classes, I was in the library reading, and happened to be reading in the Book of Mormon 3 Nephi 17 in which Jesus is visiting the Nephites in America after His Crucifiction; there was a part in which it describes Jesus' feelings for the Nephites, and it hit me that THIS IS TRUE...Everything I have been taught all my life in Church, at Home, the Book of Mormon, everything is true...I was filled with an overwhelming feeling of love (I have only felt the love that intensely 4 other times that I can recall...the birth of our children and our wedding day, and the day we were sealed together for time and all eternity in the temple of our Lord, as a family). For me being a Mormon, simply makes sense out of a sometimes senseless world.

How I live my faith

I love to volunteer, so I spend a lot of my "free time" volunteering at my child's elementary school. I do this, as it helps me feel like I am doing what my Savior would have me do. I try to be friendly with my neighbors. I put a smile on my face, it helps me feel good when I see someone smile at me, so I'm sure it makes someone else's day when they see me smile.
