Hi I'm Eddie

I was born in Utah but raised in California. I'm a student studying English. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah but have lived most of my life in southern California. I'm studying English in school and hope to one day teach Kindergarten. I love sports with a great passion. I also love music and even have taught myself how to play the guitar. One of my all time favorite things to do besides sports and music would be getting involved in a good story. I love to write, sometimes read, but definitely love to watch a good story. I dream to someday have a published book.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I guess in my case I was born into the church. Both of my parents were and still are active in the church. I've always been a member and that has just been life for me. However, in the last few years of my life I believe I have been really trying to find my own personal testimony. I mean it's one thing to know that what your doing is good and it's another thing to know that what your doing is eternal. At this point I don't think I'm 100 there, but I do believe that there is a God. He is our Heavenly Father and he does love and care for us. I also believe that what I've learned in church and from the scriptures is for our best interest. If we live our lives according to the teaching of the gospel we will live a happy, healthy, and productive life filled with love, joy, and people who care about us. Honestly, what else could anyone want?

How I live my faith

Besides going to church each Sunday I play basketball with my ward or congregation's basketball team. Also for the last five years I was a leader in my ward's boy scouts troop. I would help teach the boy's aged 12 years old how to do basic skills like tying knots, first aid, how to use a compass and map, etc.

What is faith?

Faith is believing without seeing. It's like a seed. You need to plant to for it to grow. Just as you would need to give a seed water and sunlight faith requires pray and scripture study. It doesn't grow over night either. Be patient and stick with it. In time you'll see your "plant" start to bloom. Show more Show less
