Hi I'm Monique

I'm a singing and dancing licensed cosmetologist, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Orange County, I love it. I'm a summer baby so I love warm, sunny, happy weather. I just don't tan haha. I love to sing and dance, eat, and do hair/makeup.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it gives me the most peace and joy. I am so happy and blessed and I love my life. Without living all the standards of the LDS church, my life was full of so much darkness, loneliness, pain, and unhappiness. Without it I felt like I was in captivity, I wasn't myself. I wasn't who I always wanted to be. I will never be in that darkness again.

How I live my faith

In addition to church services every Sunday, we have young single adult activities every week, they're so much fun. I dress modestly every day, try to only watch and listen to wholesome media, keep a positive attitude and really show my love and gratitude. I'm happier now than I have ever been, and know that I will continue to be happy and gain more and more happiness living this way.

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

In addition to The Bible, we read and study The Book of Mormon, so that is how people know us. Mormon is our nickname, but is not the name of our church. Show more Show less

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Simply put - yes we do. Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Read The Book of Mormon and follow the challenge at the end to pray with a sincere heart to know if it's true. The Holy Ghost will tell you in your mind/in your heart if it is. You should feel comforted, happy, and at peace. Show more Show less

Who was Joseph Smith?

He was a young, poorly educated boy growing up in a time of much religious confusion. He came upon a verse in The Bible and desired to know which church to join if any of them were true. Joseph sincerely prayed for the answer, and soon after he did so God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph to tell him that none were true and that he would restore the truth to the earth. His description of this could not have been made up, I believe that with all my heart, as I myself have asked if these things are true and feel very strongly that they are. Show more Show less

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

The Bible testifies of Christ coming to earth, and is a witness of His life and teachings while on the earth. It is great to have so many testaments of Jesus Christ - we feel it goes hand-in-hand with The Book of Mormon, which testifies of Christ's visit to The Americas after His atonement and resurrection. The more witnesses and accounts of Him the better! Show more Show less
