Hi I'm Brittany Johnson

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother. I am a Physician Assistant. I am an art lover and a world traveler. I love to read and write. I also love to cook and try new recipes. I love politics. My favorite thing to do to relax is to cuddle with my family and watch a good movie. My perfect day consists of sun, sand, and an ocean breeze with a little blonde girl and boy pitter pattering around me and their tall dark and handsome father holding my hand. I graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah with my bachelors degree in biology. I then went on to receive my Masters at AT Still University in Arizona. I love medicine and the opportunity I have to help others. I also love being a mom and find so much joy in my family. I am constantly balancing my demanding professional life with my crazy family life. I feel so blessed and wouldn't have it any other way.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I believe this church to be true. I love the Savior Jesus Christ and am grateful for all that He has done for me. I know that He suffered grately in the Garden of Gethsemane and that as He bled from every pore, that He closed His eyes and saw my face. He suffered, bled, and died for me and each and every one of us individually. I have been through many trials. I have cried myself to sleep and woken up in the morning feeling like I don't matter and my exsistence is noncontributory. My heart has been broken, and my dreams have been shattered. I have felt darkness surround my being and felt as if there were no escape. In these moments, my little Gethsemanes, I have closed my eyes and imagined His face. I have felt His love pick me up off of my cold tile floor and impower me with a reason to stop crying and move forward. I have felt the warmth of His light in those dark moments. I have felt His power as my little girl grew inside my body. Never was His presence more palpable than in my first moments of motherhood. He intrusted me with His little spirit and as I looked at her for the first time, I felt a glimpse of His love for each of His children. I have felt His omnipotence as I have traveled the world and met a variety of His children. As I read the Book of Mormon and the Bible, I feel the truth throughout my entire soul. I know that through this gosple my family will be together forever. I have made promises to my Father in Heaven and He has made promises to me. I have kept my promises and He has kept His. I have prayed with all of my heart and He has answered my prayers. I know He lives. I know He loves me. The mormon church has been a constant in my ever changing world. The church has provided me with family when I have been thousands of miles from my own. Everything the mormon church does strengthens families and individuals relationship with God. I know it is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith on a daily basis. I don't drink alcohol. I don't drink coffee. I don't do any form of drugs. I try to keep a positive attitude and remain grateful for all that I have been blessed with. I read the bible and the book of mormon on a daily basis. I pray on a daily basis, personaly and with my family. I do all I can to teach my daughter about Jesus Christ and God the Father. We sing primary songs directed around gosple messages and read the scriptures together. I am currently in charge of taking care of the children in the nursery during church. I also live my faith through looking for opportunities to serve others. I believe that as children of God we all have the responsibility to love and serve one another. I love to make treats and take them to neighbors or other families in the church to brighten their day and check in and see if there is anything that they need. As a medical professional, I will do anything I can to educate and help others with any of their medical needs. I believe that the talents and opportunities I have been given can and should be used to help others whether it is in a professional or personal setting.
