Hi I'm Jenni.

I grew up in Northern California. I'm a soccer mom and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just celebrated my 20th anniversary with my husband Nate, who I met in college. I'm a full time mother of 5 wonderful children/part time soccer coach & referee coordinator. I am easily entertained and love many things, but mostly anything in the outdoors. I like running, playing volleyball, soccer, and tennis and watching most sports on t.v.-not golf or car racing so much. Some of my favorite adventures have been backpacking through the Uintahs (50miler), hiking and camping at Havasu Falls, and hiking through the "Subway" in Zions National Park. I don't find the time very often, but I also like to sit down to a good book. Even though it gets very crazy, I thoroughly enjoy watching each of my children in their various sports-basketball, soccer, tennis, track, and football. My most favorite is when my family is all together and having a fun time with each other.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a strong LDS family, but am afraid I didn't truly appreciate it until I started raising a family of my own. I am a Mormon because of the peace and joy it brings me; because of the fun times and good friends I have made within the church; because of the comfort that I can find in times of need; but most of all because I know that I am a daughter of God and he loves me and living His gospel to the fullest is how I can be with Him again.

How I live my faith

I have coached boys and girls soccer for the past 12 years and in that setting I have had many opportunities to teach just as much about having integrity and treating others fairly and with kindness as I do about soccer. I have fun helping out in my children's schools and getting to know other moms and their children. I have also served in the church teaching youth at church, ages 18 mos. to 18 yrs. in the classroom, at Girls Camp (week long camping experience) and in sports. I am currently serving in the church's welfare program. One thing I have grown to love is getting to know 3 sisters better as I visit them monthly or as often as they need me. I live my faith by trying everyday to be a better person and a good example to my children.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Jenni.
Yes, we believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly. We learn many important truths from the lives of the prophets in the Bible. Show more Show less

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Jenni.
No, in the Book of Mormon we learn that "inasmuch as you have done it unto the least of these thy brethren, ye have done it unto me." In other words, Heavenly Father wants ALL of His children taken care of. We are taught to reach out to anyone who is in need. My greatest joy comes when I have been able to be of assistance to someone else whether they are Mormon or not. Show more Show less
