Hi I'm Margo

I am a convert to this amazing Church. I love being a mom & a grammie! How fun is life!!! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love life! I am a daughter of God, a wife to a wonderful man, a mother of 5 amazing children and a grammie to, currently, 8 beautiful grandchildren with another on the way. I loved being a stay-at-home mom. 3 of our children were born at home, we home-schooled for many years, built a log home, and knew that all of life was an amazing learning experience. I love people and their stories, I love to take pictures, I love being with my family, and I love knowing that Jesus Christ loves each one of us, just the way we are!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a wonderful Christian home with loving parents and 2 brothers. As I teenager, I went through a very rebellious time. I was searching for something that would fill the void in my heart. I know many are searching, and just don't know where or what will fill the emptiness. When I was 16, I realized that some of the doctrine of the church I grew up in didn't seem right to me. One Sunday, our minister said in his sermon that the only 2 churches in the US that were growing were the Mormons and the Jehovah's Witnesses. That sent me on a quest to find the true church. I searched for 15 years. I attended many churches. They all had something good, but also something missing. I knew in my heart that I could live with my family forever. I knew that God didn't put us in families just to have us separated at death. I had to find a church that taught that. I had many touching and meaningful experiences. I studied with the Jehovah's Witnesses for 2 years. I learned alot about the Bible. Eventually, I was connected to the Mormon misssionaries and started taking the discussions. Wow! I had finally found what I was searching for. Not only did they teach that I could be with my family forever, but I could actually be "sealed" to my family forever! What a peace came over me. I now know why I am here and where I am going. I know the reason for trials and know where to find the peace and comfort to get through them. I know the scriptures are true and lead and guide us. My children have a firm foundation and know how much they are loved, not only by their earthly family, but by our Savior and our Heavenly Father. I know we have a living prophet on the earth who leads us and guides us just like prophets have done in the past. We are so blessed to live in a day to help prepare the way for the return of our Savior. I no longer feel an emptiness or a void in my life. I no longer need to search. I have found truth. I love my family, the gospel of Jesus Christ and His plan of happiness.

How I live my faith

When I was searching for the true church, it was a process of elimination for me. I knew that it had to be a church that was a way of life, not just a Sunday commitment. I live my faith every day to the best of my ability. To have faith in Jesus Christ is to trust Him, to know that He is in charge and that my goal is to align my will with His. The Church has given me so many opportunities to grow and learn. Many things that I would not have volunteered for on my own. It is a wonderful feeling to serve others, to know that God will help me in any assignment I am given. I have been able to give talks, teach children and adults, be a leader in various organizations and reach out to others who are in need or just need a friend.
