Hi I'm Don

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 20 years now, Carolin is my wife and I have three teenaged boys. I like genealogy, a bug that bit me before I became a member of the church 20 years ago. I served in the Canadian Navy for 18 years as a boatswain and the last ten years as a truck driver in the Airforce. I retired 3 years ago and I am currently self employeed as the owner of a vending company.

Why I am a Mormon

When I first met with the missionaries they told me that we were all in heaven together. This answered a question that I had in the back of my mind. How is it that I know people when we have never ever met before. It seemed like we knew each other and were glad to see one another. But we could not, no matter how far we went back in our lifes, make a connection. This made me realise that there was something about this religion that made me want to learn more. I now know the truefullness of the gospel and it has provided me with answers to more questions than ever before. I know that this gospel is true and will continue to share it with anyone who wants to know more.

How I live my faith

I try my best to live the example of our Savior Jesus Christ. To live by his teachings. It is not always easy and daily I fail in some way but I know that our Savior has prepared the way for us to continue in our struggles here. I have been a member of His church for 20 years and I have been asked to serve in various callings. I welcome the opportunity to serve in my callings as I know that when you are in the service of your fellow man you are in the service of God.
