Hi I'm Lance

I'm a Husband, Father, Fisherman, BYU Fan, Jimmer Fredette Fan, Eagle Scout, U.S. Marine, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I am married to my Best Friend who is amazing! I am amazed at how Heavenly Father knows our needs and puts people in our paths to help us to return to him. I enjoy being a Father and spending time with my Family. My children are the best children ever and I’m not saying that just hear myself say it:). They teach me good things every day. They are always joking around probably because they see their parents do it. Traditions are great things for Families. We like Christmas music so much that we celebrate Canadians Thanksgiving with a traditional Thanksgiving feast in October and then we listen to Christmas music in the car and at Home until Christmas. Crazy,"eh"?:) As a Family we like to watch Americas Funniest Videos and watching good movies together. I have enjoyed my children's sporting events and have helped coach them. We have a good time doing things such as watching BYU football, BYU basketball (Jimmermania was alive and well in our Home!), we love the THE COLTS (it’s a tough year), playing catch outside, volleyball, fishing (catch and release only), and games. I also enjoy my children's choir events. We are blessed to be by some of our Family here and my children have really enjoyed being close to their Great Grand Parents who have just celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary this month. Isn’t that AWESOME! I feel that Grand Parents are special people who can really influence children and help them to gain a testimony of Jesus Christ. Family is Number One.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I Love my Family very much and I know that Our Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ Loves each one of us and wants the best for us. I know that Families can be together forever if we make right choices and do our best in following the commandments. I know that My Savior Jesus Christ lives and that He gave His life to atone for my sins and the sins of all mankind. I also know that by following His teachings and serving others I can have happiness in this life and eternal life in the world to come. My Faith has been given to me from God. I also know that Faith, like a muscle, needs to be used if it is to be strong. I know that I have many shortcomings and I try to follow JAMES 1:22 "But be ye Doers of the word, and not hearers only...". I believe that Faith is an action word and I try to follow JAMES 2:17 "Even so Faith, if it hath not works, is dead...". Being a member of the Church requires ones willingness to help other people and to serve. I am so happy to be a member of "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints". I know this Church to be true for the Holy Ghost or the comforter, has touched my heart. I cannot deny it. Read the following verses... Jesus said in ST John 14:26-27 "26- But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. 27- Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your Heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.". I am so thankful that I am a Christian and I have the Gospel of Jesus Christ in my life!!

How I live my faith

I Live My Faith by trying to improve each day and learn to become more like my Savior, Jesus Christ. We have Family prayer and scripture study daily. This helps us to teach our children the Gospel and it strengthens my testimony too. I try to serve others as this brings some of the greatest joys in life. In the Book of Mormon, I know that this verse is true. Mosiah 2:17 "And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God.". Keep Smiling and know that Father in Heaven is Smiling down on you and knows you are one of his elect children saved for this time of the world because you were faithful. If you want true joy and happiness to come to you and your Family go to Church and continue to build your relationship with your Savior Jesus Christ. He loves you and needs you to help and serve others:). I hope I have given you a small piece of my Faith and Life experiences that could help you understand that being Mormon is an amazing thing and it has blessed my life and my Family's life so much. Maybe I'll meet you someday. Remember to Keep Smiling :) and I know that the Lord will guide you and your Family as you search for that lasting happiness.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Did you know that you can be together as a Family Forever. Think about your Grand Parents and Great Grand Parents or maybe you lost a Loved one prematurely due to illness such as cancer or a sudden accident. You may miss them and think about them often. They Love you and their spirit is Living right now. For example think of it as a glove and a hand. We lived with Heavenly Father as spirit sons and daughters before we came here to earth. One of the reasons we came here to earth was to receive a body. The hand represents our spirit and the glove represents our body. The hand enters the glove and the glove moves. Now when we die our spirit leaves our body until we are resurrected like Jesus Christ was resurrected. Everyone who has lived on this earth will be resurrected. I believe that Heavenly Father sends the Holy Ghost to touch our hearts when we need help or just to let us know that we are loved. I Love my Family very much and I want to be with them now and throughout all Eternity. You can be with your Loved Ones Forever! Show more Show less
