Hi I'm Courtney Cook

I grew up in Utah. I am the oldest of 6 kids. I am preparing for a mission. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah. I am the oldest of six kids, 2 sisters and 3 brothers. 4 of these siblings were adopted from Ukraine a little while ago. I graduated from High School in 2009. I was on the swim team throughout high school. I lettered in swimming and was a coach for the Special Olympics. I have traveled all over Europe. I am currently going to college.

Why I am a Mormon

My ancestors crossed the plains with Joseph Smith and Brigham Young and I am so thankful to them for doing that. I have been a member my entire life and I can not imagine where my life would be if I was not in this church. It has brought me great comfort in times of need. I know that Joseph Smith restored the church to this earth. I know that he saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in the sacred grove. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I know that my Heavenly Father lives. I know he sent his son Jesus Christ to this earth for us. I know he loves us and that he is the head of this church and directs it through a living prophet here on this earth. I know that Heavenly Father wants us to return to him. My family adopted some kids a couple of years ago and we were able to go through the temple and be sealed as an eternal family. Through that experience, I know that families are forever. There is no doubt in my mind of this.

How I live my faith

I was the laurel class president in my ward for a year. I participated in the Hill Cumorah pageant. I have graduated from seminary and am in institute right now. I am preparing to serve as a full time missionary in the Washington Vancouver Mission.

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

Courtney Cook
Yes he did. He came to visit his people in the new world and set up his church here as well. Show more Show less
