Hi I'm Rob
I had a solid religious upbringing in a good Mennonite community. I'm a Mormon.
I'm a husband, father and grandfather. I'm the Director of Sales for a international clothing manufacture.
Why I am a Mormon
While growing up, I kept asking, if there is one God, why are there so many different churches? The other question I had was - if I had been born into another family, that had another religion, would that mean that I had to follow that religion as well or did I have a choice? Growing up in a Mennonite community, I was taught that God always hears and answered prayers. While praying about which church I should take my family to, I decided to check out the Mormon Church. From previous experiences where God had answered my prayers, I had full confidence that He would let me know if this was the church that I should join. I received that confirmation. The two single best decisions I have ever made in my life have been to marry my wife and to join the Mormon Church.
How I live my faith
I'm not perfect, but I'm trying to be a disciple of Jesus Christ in my everyday life. To me, the Gospel is simple. Maybe it's just me, but I don't like things that are too complicated. A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. John 13:34-35
