Hi I'm Carolyn

I'm a stay at home mom to a life-loving two year old. I love things that are around me: family, nature, food. And I'm a Mormon

About Me

My family is currently living in Virginia while my husband completes his residency program. We have one toddler little girl with a little boy on the way. I enjoy the small things in life: plunking out a song at the piano with my girl, tinkering around our garden, hoping it will grow, baking some homemade bread, going for a run, and crossing something off my to do list. My daughter's almost OCD need to have things organized would suggest I'm a bit of a control freak, but I try to be flexible. I love tasting new food and have an extensive list of must-eat restaurants. Try to look on the bright side of life!

Why I am a Mormon

To me life makes sense through the lens of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Choices aren't so hard to make, life lessons are easier to teach, and every day experiences fit better into the whole picture because of the picture the gospel paints. I know my family can be eternal, what better reason to be faithful.

How I live my faith

By trying to follow the prompting of the spirit. I try to find ways to do good and help those around me- from a phone call or note to helping someone move or bringing them dinner. Teaching my daughter good principles is huge. I try to make it a part of the daily conversation. In small things, prayer, scripture reading, conscious decision making, and love, I hope to create a solid foundation for both myself and my family.
