Hi I'm Michael Jones

I was an Idaho farm boy. My family taught us to work, even though I complained and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of four children and a grandfather of ten. My wife and I love to serve in the church. We enjoy working with the youth. They keep us young.

Why I am a Mormon

My family has been in the church for a few generations. I am the last of eight children. Even though I have always been a member of the Mormon church, I still had to ask myself why I believed the way I did. Life was easy for me. There were no struggles of significance. But one day I realized I had not proven the Lord. I read the Book of Mormon in three weeks. I read with the intent to know if it was really the words of God. I did not receive a light or a voice. I did receive a peace in my heart. As I pondered, there was a gratitude in my soul that put me to my knees. I prayed with gratitude to my Heavenly Father because my soul was filled with love. I wanted everyone to know what I knew. Shortly thereafter, I was able to serve a mission to my brothers and sisters in Bolivia. My heart still feels that deep gratitude that I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

The church offers many opportunities to serve. I plan to serve the Lord as long and as much as I am able. I love those I work with and those I worship with.
