Hi I'm Jacki

I'm a wife and a mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mother of two children, a girl and a boy. I love creative activities, like photography and scrapbooking and I enjoy extreme sports on occassion like snowboarding, surfing, and wakeboarding, and have even been skydiving and parasailing! I've recently become interested in running and have completed several 5K's, a 12K, and will soon be competing in my second half-marathon. More often I love to read, play games and most of all, spend time (adventurous or laid back) with the most important people in my life, my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but like all members, had to decide for myself at some point whether or not what I had been taught felt right to me. When it came down to it, it all makes sense to me. Not that I understand everything that God teaches us or asks of us, but that I know in my heart that these things will ultimately make me and my family most happy in this life, and in the next.

How I live my faith

The best way to live your faith is always by example. On several occasions I have known people not of my own faith to be surprised to find out I was a Mormon. They had heard many strange things about our church and were surprised to find out that we are just regular people, who love our families, our communities, and work hard for what we believe to be true.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Mormons believe the Bible to be the word of God in the same way we believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. The two, together, testify of each other and are both a huge part of our religion. Show more Show less
