Hi I'm Kodiak

I'm a husband, a father, a CPA, a College Sport Fan and most importantly, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been a member of the church for the majority of my life. I enjoy spending time with my family, I love to read and to hear other people's view points. When I have the time I enjoy golfing, playing with my kids, spending time with my wife and watching any college football or basketball game that I can find. I've graduated from college and currently work as a CPA.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized into the Mormon church when I was 8. After some time, I stopped attending the Mormon church and began attending the Catholic church with my mother. After 7 years of attending the Catholic church, I just felt like something was missing in my life. I had this hole in my life that I couldn't fill with anything that I tried by myself. After talking at great lengths with friends, I decided that I would try to return to the Mormon church to see what it had to offer. The moment I entered into the chapel, I knew that I was in the right place. I can remember feeling such joy and happiness enter into my life from that moment on. The Gospel has provided me with such wonderful blessings and opportunities that I know without a doubt that I am on a path of happiness. As I look at the world around me now, all I see is pain and frustration. Yet, when I look at what peace and tranquility I have in the Gospel, I have gained a greater appreciation and faith for what Jesus Christ's atonement can do in my life.

How I live my faith

Currently, I volunteer as our church's Cub Master. I help to ensure that all the boys within our church have a wonderful experience within the Cub Scout program, while also helping them to prepare to become outstanding citizens and husbands/fathers. In addition to working with the Cub Scouts, I also am responsible to help look after 3 families within our church. At various points throughout the month I check in with them and make sure that everything is going alright. Additionally, at least once a month I will visit their house and leave them a gospel message, talk and laugh. This responsibility is one of my most cherished.
