Hi I'm Candi

I am a Mormon. I grew up in Eau CLaire , Wisconsin. I am retired but still do some childcare.

About Me

I am a grandmother with 25 grandchildren. I have 7 children. Five are married and sealed in the temple. One has gone home to our Savior. My husband has just retired from his job, and we are raising two granddaughters from our daughter that died.So I am a wife, mother, daughter and good friend.

Why I am a Mormon

I can remember being 12 years old and not having my questions answered in my Sunday school class before I joined the Church. This began my search for truth. When I was 21 years old, I had been going from church to church looking for a special feeling. I knew that "all things had to be restored" as told in the bible. So I searched for a church that would have prophets, apostle, and evangelists. I knew that the Lord's church had to be established on the earth again to prepare for his coming. I knew that I wanted to belong to His Church and raise my family in His Church also. From my Lutheran upbringing, I had been taught to love the Lord and to love the safety of his words. I was taught by loving and kind teachers that loved the Lord and taught me to love Him too. I have found the fullness of the Lords gospel in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints.I am home.

How I live my faith

I am a visiting teacher, so i am assigned to visit sisters in my ward once a month to teach them and to see it I can be of any service to them. I work with my granddaughters to help them achieve the goals in their young woman's program. The girls have been involved in 4-H and that keeps me busy also. I also teach a class in our ladies group on Sunday, which is one of my favorite jobs.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

I do believe that there is a prophet on the earth today that reveals God's will to his people today as did the prophets of old. I have looked for a prophet of the Lord to lead His people since I was a child. I found that prophet when I joined the Church in 1970. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

No one is required to go on a mission for the Lord. But our young men and women are encouraged to take time out of their lives to serve a mission. My sons and daughter that went on missions have said that the time was the best service time that they have had in their lives. Show more Show less
