Hi I'm Zachary

I am my own, I'm a missionary, I'm a red head, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I will be serving a Mission in the Merida Mexico Mission starting on October 26, 2011 for two years. Since I was young, I have always played soccer but still enjoyed other sports. I enjoy indoors and outdoors, playing all sports, running, cooking, thrills-from roller coasters to skydiving, guitar & drums, movies, road trips, video games, rock climbing, snow boarding, skiing, wake boarding, etc.

Why I am a Mormon

I am not a convert, but for the majority of my youth I was not aware of the title I wore as a member of this Gospel. After moving to where I live now, my knowledge of the Gospel was refined so that I knew I was indeed Mormon. Often throughout my youth I took for granted the blessings I had with the Mormon friends I had to grow up with. It wasn't until I stopped coming and being active in the Church that I realized how much I needed those blessings in my life again. I was looking for the way to be happy again and I found it. I found here in the Gosple of Jesus Christ, anew, my life that is magnified and sanctified through power of the atonement. When Im not living the "Gospel Standard" im not... free I am Mormon because I want to be free in a way. I want to be able to get the most out of life. This way is provided through the counsel and guidance by church leaders today and in the past. The love this Gospel can provide in one's life is unmatched. I have a testimony in many things of this Gospel, and bear it of that, that I know Joseph Smith is a true Prophet of God that restore this gospel to earth. I know that there is no other way, save the power and inpsiration of God, that Jospeh Smith could have to done all things he was able to accompish. I know that we have modern day prophets call by God to direct us in these last days. I know this Gospel is indeed the true, full, and restored Gospel of God. I know that our Savior Jesus Christ died for our sins so that we return to live with him again.

How I live my faith

Living by the standards set out by the Church is by no means easy, and I'm sure will be difficult for the remainder of my Earthly life. I am a Sunday School teacher and need to have lesson prepared each week to teach. Its great! Being able to enlighten and be enlightened myself through my preparation to then teach. In order to more fully live my faith, I must choose to not go to places even if it means that I will be at home alone while the other are in an environment that will make it very difficult to feel the influence on the Holy Ghost. Quite simply, I live my faith by letting "virtue garnish my thoughts unceasingly" as often as possible and putting off the natural man.
