Hi I'm Diane

I'm blissfully married. I'm a mom. I do yoga. I'm a musician. I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

About Me

I hike and camp. I've taken my kids camping when they were as young as 2 months old. I love being in the mountains, especially with family. I love cooking and playing with flavor. I play the flute. I like old black and white romantic movies. I graduated in Community Health Education. I enjoy working with people with disabilities. I'm a mom to three gorgeous children. Many people thought that since we had a boy and girl first that we were finished having kids, but when you make beautiful babies, why stop at two? I am married to the man of my dreams. My two oldest babies were premature, and my third had complications during the pregnancy so I am very grateful for medical professionals and have gained a desire to go back to school and gain another degree, possibly as a nurse. I'm teaching myself how to quilt and enjoy the excitement of creating something new and personal. I've run a half marathon. I love Latin dancing and only wish I really knew how to move my hips. I'm a friend - being friends with other women makes life richer. I am a family woman!

Why I am a Mormon

I love Jesus Christ. I love that I have direction in my life. I know that I have purpose here. Some days it's hard as a mom to feel like what I do matters, but I know that I'm training my children to be honest and full of integrity. I'm teaching them how to love others and serve others. I'm teaching them how to become everything they're capable of becoming. A time I remember really feeling an excitement about the gospel of Jesus Christ is when I started reading the Book of Mormom and studying the teaching of Jesus Christ. I couldn't wait to read more. The Bible made more sense to me. I couldn't get enough. It made me happy, and I felt like I really could be a better person and turn to the atonement of Jesus Christ to correct things I've done that are wrong. Now that I have my own family, I am thrilled to know that I can be with my family forever. Through the blessings received in the temple, I have a forever family. I know that Jesus Christ lives and that His gospel is in full force today. He loves all of us.

How I live my faith

My faith is woven into many aspects of life that I don't consciously think about, but they guide my actions and interactions. I am part of a committee that organizes activities for women in our neighborhood and church group. A friend and I visit other women in our church community to talk, see how they're doing, and provide encouragement and support. My family and I have a designated night for time together. We like to invite others to join us as we learn about Jesus, sing, pray, share talents, play games, make treats, and enjoy being together. I like to share my musical talents in church when the opportunity arises.
