Hi I'm Weston

I grew up in Bear Lake, ID. I love computer science, hiking, and being with my family, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Bear Lake Idaho in a family of seven. I am currently attending university and BYU-Idaho. I love computer science, camping, and being with friends and family. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has strengthened every part of my life that matters most to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I beleive this is the church of Jesus Christ re-established on the earth. I have been member of the church for all my life and I know that trying to live the teachings of Christ and serving others has helped me grow into a much, much better person than I could ever become on my own.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by by always trying to stay positive and serve others. Studying the scriptures including the Bible and the Book of Mormon and prayer have strengthened my faith in Christ to help me do this.

Why do Mormons perform proxy baptisms in their temples?

Have you ever wondered what happens to all of the people who have died without even getting a chance to learn about or accept Jesus Christ as their Savior? Christ taught that without baptism we cannot enter the kingdom of God, but what about all those who have died without being baptized? In 1 Corinthians 15 Paul refers to a "Baptism for the dead." The Lord clarified this doctrine through the prophet Joseph Smith by teaching that we can be baptized in behalf of those who have died without having the opportunity themselves. They can then choose to reject or accept the baptism. Show more Show less
