Hi I'm Trudy

I'm the tenth of fifteen children. I married my high school sweetheart and I'm blessed to be a mormon!

About Me

I love to read and run. Not usually at the same time, but it can be done! I like to take pictures and put them in books. Some people call that scrapbooking, but it's not. I can't make the pages all fancy and cute, so my pictures are put on cardstock, I write under the picture what is going on and then I move to the next picture. I am the mom of two beautiful children. We are trying to adopt a baby. That process has been really hard and has taken a lot longer than I thought it would. I get to be a stay at home mom. My husband is in school and some days it feels like he will be forever. We just moved across the country and all of our family stayed there. It has been really hard to be so far away from them. One thing I love about our church is no matter where you go, someone will be there to take care of you.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the church because what it teaches is true! This life is scary and hard, without the knowledge I have that Heavenly Father has a plan for me and is aware of me, I wouldn't be able to keep going. I have heard people say that they believe in God, but I know that he is there. Knowing that he is there for me, that he has a plan for me and that I will be taken care of means more to me than anything else in this world. I know that Jesus Christ atoned for my sins and that I can repent and be forgiven for whatever mistakes I make. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus love me and that I will be able to be with them again someday. Knowing that makes all the hard and scary things in life worth it!

How I live my faith

Being a good example is something I try really hard to do. I try to be happy because if I'm happy then maybe someone will ask me why and it will give me the opportunity to share the gospel. I love teaching my children about Heavenly Father and Jesus. Teaching them that they are truly children of God helps strengthen my own faith.

What is being a Mormon like?

It's like coming home you are welcomed and loved. There is peace in your life and in your heart. There is happiness and direction. Knowing that you really are a child of God can make the darkest times seem brighter. Show more Show less
