Hi I'm Tom

I'm a husband, a dad, an engineer, and a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in California, went to college in Utah, served a mission in Taiwan, and have lived in Indiana, Missouri and China. I spend my weekdays in a factory trying to make it run more efficient. I spend my evenings and weekends at home with my wonderful wife and 5 children. I love to play sports. Basketball is my favorite, though my knees don't appreciate it much anymore. I have recently taken up weight lifting and I love it. I also love to play in the outdoors. I like to build things. The coolest thing I ever built was a rock climbing gym while I was in college.

Why I am a Mormon

I was very blessed to have been raised in a Mormon family. From a young age I learned that happiness is best obtained by keeping the Lord's commandments. I know where I came from, why I am here, and where I am going. That knowledge seems to make all the difference. I am a Mormon because I believe that is what God wants me to be. I am a Mormon because it gives meaning to my life, gives me a purpose, and ultimately, because it makes me happy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith one day at a time. I pray, by myself and with my family. I study the gospel and read the scriptures. I try to be a good example to others. I try not to judge others, and try to see things from their perspective. I try to help others.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

This world we live in is an amazing place...the beauty, the order, the abundance and diversity of life. To me, it all testifies that there is a God, and He created this world and all that lives upon it. Show more Show less
