Hi I'm Tommy Bone

I'm retired.. and loving it. Golf, temple work and traveling.I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a father of three.. all boys, and grandfather of five... four girls and one boy. I enjoy temple work and working at the local LDS food storage center. I like college athletics and love to play golf. I'm retired and keep house and yard while my wife is finishing up her working career.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to a father who was a member and a mother who was a convert after their marriage. I was very active as a teenager, but, fell out of activity for most of my adult life. At 50 years of age I decided to become active even though my wife wasn't and still isn't a member. My favorite Book of Mormon scripture is Alma chapter 5 where it talks about having a mighty change of heart. I had that at 50 and have had a burning desire to serve in the church and attend my meetings since. I'm now 68. That mighty change of heart was a result of my desire to have our youngest son baptized when he was 12 years old. My testimony is of a loving Father in Heaven and His only begotten Son and Savior of mankind, Jesus Christ. I know that if I have faith in them, am obedient to Their commandments and endure to the end, I will have eternal life and live in their presence.

How I live my faith

In addition to my assignment as an ordinance worker at the Columbia SC Temple, I am the Ward Clerk in my ward and a home teacher. All of these responsibilities are very fulfilling, yet there is much more that I can do.
