Hi I'm Jason Freeman

I love life because I have hope through our Savior and peace that my family will be together eternally.

About Me

I am a father of 4, I am a physician assistant in the United States Air Force and I am a Mormon. I am a sixth generation Arizonan and a seventh generation member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have 4 amazing and active children and a wonderful wife. I have worked as an EMT in a crazy emergency room, a general contractor, a farmer, a plumber and lots of stuff in between. I continue to balance God, Family, work and life as most do. I am happy to share with you what I have found to be true. I have never had an alcoholic drink or smoked anything. I don't drink coffee or tea or energy drinks. Cold water wakes me up. I have no tattoos or piercings and have never been to a bar or club. I have been married for 16 years and never even thought about divorce. I do not shop or spend money on the Sabbath. I do not gamble or watch rated R and most PG-13 movies. I believe in chastity before marriage and fidelity to your spouse. I know there is a Father in Heaven who loves us and wants us to be good to ourselves and each other. I go to the temple as often as I can. I believe in the power of prayer and fasting, service and reading the word of God. I believe it is important to teach our children about the great plan Heavenly Father has for us and to honor God by keeping his commandments. Some say that Mormons are weird, but these thing are normal for me and millions of others and help me stay happy and find peace in life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it just makes sense and the spirit has testified to me that it is true. I know God lives and that he gave the true gospel to Adam and Eve. I know there was an apostasy of the original church of Christ. I know Joseph Smith saw God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. There has been a restoration of the fulness of the gospel and of modern day prophets and revelation. The principles on the family and the doctrine of Christ hold me anchored to this church because I know they come from God. I have felt the calm and assuring spirit telling me that this is the Church of Christ on the earth with all the power and authority needed to direct this great work. There is no other organization which has all of the facets I find here. The eternal family, temples, faith, repentance, baptism by immersion, baptism by fire or the Holy Spirit, family history work, food storage and emergency preparedness, living prophets and apostles with authority to direct a living church, missionary work, an unpaid ministry, the Word of Wisdom, the Law of Tithing, fasting, prayer, The Book of Mormon, the Bible, the Doctrine and Covenants, the Pearl of Great Price, home teaching, service, charity, kindness, gratitude, the atonement of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All of these things just make sense to me and I am so glad I found them all in one place.

How I live my faith

I enjoy serving in my neighborhood. We all have different opportunities to share our talents. I currently serve as the Young Men's advisor and Assistant Scout Master. I enjoy working with the young men and try to be a influence for good in their lives. I remember how hard it was being a teenager and know the world can be tough. I know that putting God first makes all the difference. Be a peacemaker and you will get further in life. Dont stress about the small stuff. Do your duty and let God take are of the rest (adapted from President Monson). Don't gossip. Put the burden on the Lord's shoulders and yours will be lightened. Love and serve God by serving your family and those around you and your heart will be softened and your fears comforted. Believe in God. He lives and wants you to succeed. Put forth the sacrifice and you will reap the blessings. Shun iniquity like the plaque. Virtue is a godly quality. Use a soft voice when correcting others. Step up to the plate and reap the blessings the Lord has in store for you if you live his commandments. We cannot cheat God, but only ourselves.

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Jason Freeman
I always have asked the question "Why did the bible end? If the line of prophets and apostles continued then the church and record the Bible would have also continued. The line of authority was broken when the apostles lost their lives and corruption took over. Doctrines and practices were changed and the true church of Christ was lost. I am grateful that the Catholic and Orthodox churches kept the bible and some principles, but so much was lost that a restoration was necessary. I know that there was an apostacy and a resotoration as the New Testament prophesied there would be.  Show more Show less
