Hi I'm Cathy

I'm a Mormon. I love reading and the outdoors. I am married and the mother of three grown kids.

About Me

I am married and a mother of one daughter and two sons. My youngest has just started college. I grew up in Colorado with my parrents and two sisters. I love being outdoors. Most of our vacations are exploring some new wonder of God's creation. I love to read when I get a chance. I work for an insurance company and am going back to college to finish my degree. I also enjoy sewing and gardening.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church and had many opportunities to find out how much Heavenly Father loves me and cares about everything that happens in my life. I have seen miracles and the blessings that come from doing what Heavenly Father asks us to do. I have a testimony that as I keep the covenants I have made, I can return to live with my Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. It is not enough just to believe I will be able to return. I have to do my best every day, and if I don't, I have to repent and do better the next day. When I meet my Savior, I want Him to be able to say that I have been a faithful servant in doing His work.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by learning what my Heavenly Father wants me to do as I work at becoming more like Christ. I do this by reading the scriptures, praying, and listening to the leaders of the church. I have to do my part in working out my own salvation and Christ will help make up the difference. As I follow the example of the Savior, I learn how to serve others and I can be open to things Heavenly Father wants me to do. It is not always easy and is usually always outside of my comfort zone. But he has proven to me that if I have the faith to do whatever it is that He asks, He will make it possible for me to do it and will send great blessings as well.
