Hi I'm Danell

I'm a Mormon and I love it!

About Me

First off, and most importantly, I am a wife and a mother of 4. I am studying to be a Secondary Mathematics teacher. I love learning how to create things. So, I am constantly learning new crafts. I enjoy crocheting, quilting, painting, sewing, and doing anything creative. I absolutely love cooking and trying new foods. Korean food is my favorite type of food and I am always trying to convince others to try it. I also really enjoy singing. One of my favorite things is my family's night-time routine because after we are ready for bed we sit as a family and read the scriptures together. We talk about what we read and then sing a hymn or children's hymn together before having family prayer. We then give each other hugs before going to bed. I love my family!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church. My father and his family have been members of the church for many generations. My mother and her family were converts to the church. Although I have had several times in my life where I felt that life would be easier without having to follow the commandments of God, I was able to push through those times and come out of it with stronger faith and love for my Father in Heaven. I continue to follow the gospel of Jesus Christ because I know that it is Christ's church upon the earth now. When Christ was on the earth he established his church. It was taken from the earth when all the people rebelled against and killed Christ and His apostles. That church has been restored on the earth and I know how incredibly blessed I am to be a member of it.

How I live my faith

Right now I get to work with the children at church. I am the secretary for the children's group and have my hands full with learning all of the children's names and families. With this opportunity given me, I get to help make the children feel happy and welcome. Serving in this way makes me feel like I am doing what Jesus Christ would want me to do.
