Hi I'm Kevin

I grew up in Chicago, Il. I love the Cubs and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 22 years to my beautiful wife. We have 3 children, 2 boys and one girl. I work as an engineer in the semi-conductor industry. I love sports!!! I love to play golf and basketball and love to watch NFL football.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I met the love of my life and she introduced me to the Church. I studied the restored Gospel for 5 years and gained a strong testimony of the Prophet Joseph Smith. I grew up as a Catholic in Chicago, Ill. I met my wife after I joined the Marine Corps and I was stationed in Hawaii. We dated and were married 2 years later. My wife bore testimony to me of the restored Gospel and after we were married I met with the missionaries of the Church. I didn't jump right in to the waters of baptism. I had to do a lot of study to make sure this was the right thing for me. I read everything I could about Joseph Smith and gained a strong testimony that he was truly a prophet of God. The spirit that I felt as I studied the Gospel helped me understand the true purpose of our life on this earth. I love this Church and everything that it has done to make me a better person.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a better person everyday. I currently serve as the Sunday School President in my ward. I also serve by being a home teacher to two families in our ward. I also enjoy being around the youth of the Church. I spent some time as a Boy Scout leader. I also enjoy the youth sports programs that the Church has and serve as a Basketball referee.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a member of the Church is like being part of a big family. In our ward we have a diverse congregation. We have families ranging from very young newly married couples to senior couples who are now grandparents. Everyone in the ward is friendly and willing to help one another. You truly become part of the ward family. I love to attend Church each Sunday and visit with all of the ward members and to get to know them better. Show more Show less
