Hi I'm Ken

Father of 7, entrepreneur, MBA, CFO, and Bishop. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Arizona and grew up Southern California. Growing up I loved to play all sports, including baseball, basketball, football, and tennis. I served a French and English-speaking mission in Montreal, Canada. I earned a Bachelors degree in Business and a Masters in Business Administration, with emphasis in Entrepreneurship and Finance. I am married, have seven children, and enjoy starting, building, and growing businesses. I recently finished writing a book about an entrepreneur trying to save his failing business and family. I love cycling, and my son and I regularly participate in triathlon and other athletic contests.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a senior in high school I took the challenge to read the Book of Mormon, just one chapter per night before bed. There were some nights I couldn't understand much of what I read. But after just a few short months, I was amazed at the changes that began to occur in me. I prayed and received personal revelation that the book was true, and I became intimately familiar with the Savior, Jesus Christ--his teachings, life, ministry, mission, and Holy Atonement for all of our Heavenly Father's children. My relationship with Christ has changed my life. I had an overwhelming desire to serve a mission and teach others what I had found to be true and share the joy it brought to my life. I am forever in debt to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ for what they have done for me, and I am committed to serving them, my family, and everyone else for the rest of my life to try by being obedient and enduring this life faithfully.

How I live my faith

I enjoy the blessing of serving as the Bishop of my ward, a total of over 500 faithful Latter-day Saints in my area. I love all of them and the opportunity to help them is part of how I strive to be a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ. Part of my calling as a Bishop means I get to work very closely with the youth of my ward. Their strength and testimonies are impressive, and they work hard to learn what they should learn and become what they should be so they can serve missions and be disciples of Christ for the rest of their lives. We have a lot of fun with a week-long high-adventure and camp activities every summer and other events about once per week, including archery, snowboarding, dodge ball, cooking nights, and so much more! I home teach a wonderful family and a few widows in my ward, and my wife and I diligently try to teach the gospel to the children in our home. We read our scriptures and pray together every day.
