Hi I'm Jessica

I'm really good at laughing. I'm a sympathetic crier. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a college student and I plan on graduating in April with a degree in Communication Disorders. Education is very important to me, I like to learn. I love my family very much. We moved a lot when I was younger and that helped us stay close as a family unit. I love nature and it's animals; especially horses. I took equestrian lessons from ages 11 -17, I've ridden both English and Western style. I love to have fun with friends. Whether I'm snowboarding, going out on the town, or just vegging at home with board games, movies, and ice cream; doesn't matter - I love it all.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were members before I was born, so I was born into this religion. Honestly though - I do not know where I would be with out it. When I was 8 years old, I decided to follow in my parents footsteps and be baptized. Afterward, I had the most amazing feeling; It felt like someone I couldn't see was hugging me so tight. Since then I have continued to progress as a Mormon and I haven't regretted my decision since. Whenever hard times come around, as they often do, I lean on my faith that I have a Savior who knows my strengths and also my weaknesses; and that He loves me anyway. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

This gospel has taught me so much. It has taught me - not only about about spiritual things, but also about temporal things - about caring for others. Being a Mormon has taught me how to serve. Being a Mormon to me is about caring for your neighbor. I have striven to live up to that expectation my whole life. Whether it's going to nursing homes to sing songs and visit with the elderly, donating needed items for disaster victims, or bringing a friend a plate full of warm chocolate chip cookies and a hug because they had a bad day; helping others in reality is helping me have more charity. The giving and receiving never ends, I am so grateful for that.
