Hi I'm Kristine

I grew up in Utah, Idaho and Arizona. I am a daughter, sister, grand daughter, wife, mother of three, a student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 42 years old. I am a daughter, sister, grand daughter, wife and mother of three. I am currently attending college. In my spare time I like to read and cross stitch. I love especially the time we spend as a family. Whether it's Friday Movie Night or a family outings. Attending church together, Family Home Evening, scripture study, and the peace I feel as we kneel each day for guidance and protection.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been fortunate to have been born and raised Mormon. I come from a long line of pioneer heritage of which I am very proud of. I am filled with awe as I read their stories and all they sacrificed so I can be where I am today. There sacrifices give me the determination to try a little harder go a little farther to honor their name. Even with that advantage I have come to know what my faith means to ME as I have experienced trials. I know the Church and its programs are truly inspired and a blueprint for our lives. I am grateful for its guidance. I am grateful to be a member of this church and I can not imagine going thru trials without the comfort it brings. I know that Jesus Christ died for us that we may have a way back when we stumble and fall. For the comfort I have that thru His Atonement we can live with all those we have lost. I know Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father appeared to the boy Joseph Smith in the grove. I know Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon which is a true testament to the importance of journal keeping. The lessons taught in its pages testify of the Savior and what we can become when we obey His commandments and also if we do not head its warnings. I know the church has been restored in these latter days. I know Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God of the Earth today and find comfort in his teachings and guidance in a world with so many voices and I say this in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by being an example to others. I make it a challenge to live my standards by fulfilling my calling at church as a email newsletter specialist, as a visiting teacher, and by checking on those who are struggling, sick,or less active. I live my faith by trying to be a better wife, mother, and neighbor to those I come in contact with.

What is the difference between attending church and the temple?

Kristine
Attending church every Sunday is a way we can show devotion to God and what He has created. It is a time to learn and reflect what we can change to be in harmony with God and Jesus Christ. A temple we believe is a place God can dwell. It is a place where we to can learn and reflect on challenges we maybe facing. It is a place of peace. It is also a place members of the Church can do proxy work for loved ones who have not had the opportunity to learn of our Savior, The Atonement, and be baptized in this life time. It is a place were loved ones can be sealed for time and all eternity to continue our relationships and live together forever in heaven. Show more Show less
