Hi I'm Trevor

I grew up in upstate NY and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am in my mid 30's and have been married for 13 years to my best friend. Marriage is a full time job, we have grown closer together over the years due to the trails and experiences we have shared. We have 4 great kids 2 of each. We recently moved across country for job promotion, I work in the financial industry. We love going to the beach and the mountains.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to live my life as a Mormon because of the experiences I have had in the past that have confirmed to me that I am living the way Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father would want me to. I was born into a Mormon home where my parents where righteous and taught us the gospel. Because of their example and choices for family vacations I began to develop faith, my own understanding and testimony. I think we all can see how a parents influence for good or bad can shape a child, but at some point that child will need to decide how to live their own life. I remember having a desire to truly know for myself and not use my parents belief as a crutch anymore. While participating in the Hill Cumorah Pageant as a family I took advantage of the time to pray and learn more about the gospel and build my testimony. I knelt in prayer to ask to know whether or not the Mormon Church was true. I received an answer directly from the holy spirit that testified to me so strongly to my spirit that I knew from that point on I could never deny it. Since then, I have had a handful of experiences that have been just as strong or stronger revelation to my spirit from the Holy Spirit that have enhanced and built my testimony on the rock of my salvation which is Jesus Christ and the keystone of my understanding to His gospel the Book of Mormon. I know that Jesus Christ lives and the Book of Mormon is the word of God through his prophets!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by supporting my Ward congregation in the callings or assignments that I have been asked to do. There are no professional clergy in the Mormon Church as it is basically ran by volunteers. One assignment that every member is asked to do is to meet with members who they have been assigned to visit on a monthly basis. During these visits I ensure of their spiritual and physical well being. My goal is to become a friend to them, so I can help bear their burdens. My career as a financial adviser requires integrity and honesty. I know that the Mormon Church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, teaches and expects these attributes to be present in every member.
