Hi I'm Tyson

I grew up in Utah. I love to make movies. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a family of four. My little brother and I enjoy time together snowboarding/skiing, playing video games and wrestling. We feel a really close connection to each other and always look out for one another. I like to make movies and plan to do that as a career. I love to make short films in my spare time with my friends. My family and I also love to travel. We've been all over the US and are starting to travel to foreign countries as well. We love to see historical sites and learn more about other people and cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a Mormon home, so I grew up in this environment. During my teenage years, I started to question if I really believed everything that I was being taught. One day, I decided to get on my knees and take the challenge to ask God if this really was true. As I did so, I was overcome with the greatest feeling I've ever felt. I can't describe how good I felt in words. To this day, I still remember this experience and have treasured the smaller experiences of everyday life that let me know that God is there and that he is watching. He cares about each one of us and wants us to be happy. This church has taught me what it means to have faith in Jesus Christ. I love searching the scriptures and the words of modern day prophets because I can feel the Spirit of God telling me that what they are saying is true.

How I live my faith

I recently got back from serving a two year mission for the church. I was asked to give up two years of my life to serve the Lord away from my home. During this time, I had all day every day to bring the blessings that have come to me in my life to others. I saw people that were sad be lifted up by the inspiring message that Jesus Christ lives, he speaks to us today and he wants them to be happy. Some people have asked me why I did this. All I can say is that I did it because God wanted me to and because it was the right thing to do. I don't regret it one bit because I was able to see God working in peoples lives first hand. It has also changed who I am. I am a better person because of this wonderful experience. Now that it's over, I will continue to love and serve those around me. I loved sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others and I want to continue sharing it because it brings so much happiness to everyone that accepts and lives it.
