Hi I'm Amy

I grew up outside Detroit, I've lived from one coast to the other, now I live in Ohio. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in Ohio, USA with my husband and three children. Since quitting full-time employment in my field to raise my children I have continued to work part-time to help with my families needs. Managing apartments, babysitting, work from home computer positions, have each allowed me to contribute to the household while continuing to focus on primary goal, my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because following the teachings of Christ brings peace into my home that the world cannot provide. Through the power of the restored priesthood and the organization of the Church of Jesus Christ, I have been blessed to be able to follow a living prophet. I'm grateful to know that Heavenly Father still loves his children, he loves me, enough to still send messengers to help us return to Him.

How I live my faith

I love my calling in the church! I serve as the Primary President, working with the children 18 months to 12 years old. I love each of them as my own. Over the years I've tried to get to know each of them personally, teaching them that when they enter the doors of the church they are "safe". That their Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love them and with their church family they are never alone.

What is the First Vision?

The First Vision is when 14 year old Joseph Smith went into a grove of trees to pray. He was searching for the "right" church to join when he received a vision of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ telling him to join none of them. The importance of this experience is not only the heavenly visitation, but it is the first time since Christ's life that the Father and Son were seen as two separate beings of flesh and bone. Proving that we really are made in God's image. Show more Show less
