Hi I'm Kay

I'm a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. I'm also a Mormon. I was an elementary school teacher for 23 years.

About Me

I love music although not accomplished in any area. I also enjoy gardening. I taught elementary school for many years and love children. I have many grand children and great grand children and they fill my life with joy and sometimes concerns. I enjoy sports and love to follow the LA (aka Anaheim) Angels and the LA Lakers, and College Football and Basketball. I'm especially partial to BYU. My own sons participated in Little League and Pop Warner football and I still want to stop and watch when I drive by a school yard and the "little guys" are playing! I now get to watch some great grand children play soccer. What a privilege.

Why I am a Mormon

Ive been a Mormon all my life. But like almost everyone, there comes a time when you are "converted". That was a gradual thing for me as I attended church and religion classes in my youth, I learned about the gospel and my testimony began to grow. When I moved from Utah where there was a large majority of Mormons when I was young, to California as a young mother, I began to learn the differences in our beliefs and some other Christian Churches. I wanted to know more and to understand the gospel and what it meant to me in my life. I've always known that families could be together in the next life, and this was important to me. I love that the Mormon religion is all about families.

How I live my faith

I've been very active in the Mormon Church most of my adult life. I've had the opportunity to teach children, and work with the youth of the church. As you serve you gain a testimony of the work and have experiences that let you know that this is the Church of Jesus Christ. I've worked in the women's organization, known as "Relief Society" and seen the good work that happens with this organization that is designed by our Heavenly Father. I've had the opportunity to see the gospel in action and see how it can improve peoples lives. I know that we learn and grow little by little and serving is the best way I know to learn and live the gospel.
