Hi I'm Anna

I'm a student. I'm a wife. I'm going to be a teacher, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student, studying to be an Elementary school teacher. I am also a practicing Mormon. In twenty years, I've been to nineteen different countries spread over four continents. I love reading, writing, and music. And I was recently sealed for time and all eternity to an amazing, righteous Priesthood holder. My life is not at simple and perfect as it would seem, however. In the past year both of my parents have both been diagnosed debilitating neurological disorders. My mother has two neurological diseases: CBD and PSP, and my father has Parkinson's disease. Dealing with this has been very difficult for me, but my faith in the Lord and the support of Church has given me peace through it. Watching my mother slowly fade has been the most trying and difficult experience I've yet to face, and I would never wish this experience on anyone. But it has shaped my view of the family, and helped me to understand the immense blessing of being sealed in the temple. I know that my mother will be whole again one day, and that I will be with her if I live so that I can receive that blessing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because even when life becomes unbearably difficult, I have the comfort of the Gospel to lift me up. I am Mormon because Jesus Christ gave his life for me, suffered in Gethsemane for my sins, and the sins of all God's children that I and they may repent and live with Him again. I am Mormon because I feel the love of God, my Father in Heaven, and Jesus Christ everyday. This is Christ's church, and it is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to love all those around me. I serve those who need service, even when it's not convenient for me. And though I'm not constant or perfect in these things, I live my faith by repenting and doing better when I falter. I live my faith by being like Christ.

Can husband and wife be together forever? Do you believe that families will live together in heaven?

As Latter-day saints, we believe that families can be together for all eternity. This blessing comes when a family is sealed together in the temple. We believe that through the Priesthood - which is God's authority and power given to men on earth - this ordinance can be performed. When a husband and wife are married and sealed in the temple, any children that come as a result of that marriage are promised to be sealed to their parents as long as they live worthily to receive that blessing. Families whose parents were not previously married and sealed in the temple can enter the temple and be sealed together for eternity. In order to receive these ordinances, all must be worthy to enter the temple. Show more Show less
