Hi I'm Vickie

I am a wife, mother, grandmother, and spontaneous traveler.

About Me

I am a mother of four, a grandmother of 9 with another one on the way. I have been a foster mother to 48 children, but now I am just a granny on the go. Taking spur- of –the-moment trips is a new hobby of mine. Where as my old hobbies use to be crocheting, reading and painting they have been replaced with Kayaking on the rivers in North Carolina, horseback riding, zip lining, white water rafting in the Smoky Mountains, and caving in the hills of Virginia. Soaking up all the beauty that Heavenly Father has given us is a wonderful and exciting experience, and getting to meet new people along the way is definitely an added bonus.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that this is the true church here on earth. I know that this is the same church that Christ established when he was on the earth. I know that the Lord has sent prophets to lead and guide us and that the Book of Mormon is another Testament of Jesus Christ. I truly was converted when I read the Book of Mormon.

How I live my faith

By trying to be the daughter that heavenly Father wants me to be. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to serve in many callings in the church. At present I am a Sunday school teacher to the 7-8 year olds., and without a doubt it has become my most favorite calling so far. Every callings has helped me to become stronger in the gospel and to develop an unwavering testimony of our loving Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ.
