Hi I'm Alicia!

I grew up in Central Florida. I teach piano. I love working in Cub Scouts. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm a piano teacher, a college library worker, enjoy crafts of all kinds, and work in Cub Scouts with my husband. Recently, I enrolled again! in college and am looking forward to lifelong learning. Our 3 children are grown, and we love every minute we get to spend with them and our grandsons.

Why I am a Mormon

My mom joined the church when I was young, so I've spent most of my life actively participating in the Church. I prayed and studied to learn for myself of the marvelous truths that can be found by all who seek. I know that this is where anyone can find more truth!

How I live my faith

I love teaching young people and watching them grow and learn. My husband and I serve as Cub Scout leaders, and I play piano & organ for Sunday worship. I try every day to learn something new, be a better person, lift others along their way, and love as the Saviour loves.

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

Husband and wife are co-equals, partners, one in purpose. The husband is the providor and protector in the home. He should lead his children by example, and always treat their mother with the highest respect and love. The wife is the primary nurturer in the home and, if at all possible, should stay at home with them and see to their education in all things. Home is where children learn to share, sacrifice, support, and be better spouses and parents themselves, one day.  Show more Show less

What does Mormonism teach regarding baptism?

We believe that baptism is required for all who desire to live with our Heavenly Father again. Jesus taught this by example, showing us the way with his baptism by John the Baptist. He showed us that baptism by immersion by one holding the proper authority is the acceptable way. Show more Show less

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

The Word of Wisdom is a commandment that leads to better physical, mental, and spiritual health. We are told to completely avoid use of tobacco, alcohol, coffee, tea, or any other unwholesome products. Meat should be used in moderation and vegetables/fruits (in season) are for our use. As we treat our bodies better, the mind and spirit are stronger. Show more Show less
