Hi I'm Shad

I grew up as an AF brat in UT, MI, TX, SD and Idaho. I served a mission in Thailand. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a happily married father of four (soon to be five). I am a lawyer in the Air Force. I love reading and playing sports, especially soccer. I speak Thai and like studying about Southeast Asia.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the teachings of this Church enable salvation and exaltation through Jesus Christ. When I was about 15, I read the Book of Mormon all the way through. When I was done, I knelt down and prayed to God to know if it was true. The Holy Ghost witnessed to me that it was true, and my faith in Christ and in His Church has grown ever since.

How I live my faith

I do all the do's (e.g., go to church, keep the Sabbath day holy, read my scriptures, pray, go to the temple regularly, etc.) and don't the don't's (e.g., coffee, tea, alcohol, tobacco, extra-marital sex, lie, etc.). More importantly, I strive to be who the Lord would have me be - meaning I don't just act the way I do because I'm checking off a list but because those are the things someone like Christ would do.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Shad
Awesome, if my wife can be seen as an example. As for equality, we absolutely believe in equality (to the extent that men are able to keep up with women). Show more Show less
