Hi I'm Matt

I am a front-end software engineer. I'm a drummer and a dad. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and a father. I'm a software engineer by trade, and I enjoy making software in my free time outside of work.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ because I was born into a family whose members are as well. It wasn't until my teenage years that I really began to understand for myself what I'd believed all along. The deepened conviction changed me and although I'm nowhere near perfect, I don't know where I would be without the Church or without the knowledge of the Savior Jesus Christ it has given me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to help others every day, even in small ways. I also live my faith by staying spiritually afloat in a confused world and by trying to help others do the same when opportunity presents itself.

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

The reason why there is no paid clergy in the LDS Church is that the Lord organized His Church that way. Just as the Apostles Peter, James, John, and the others were not paid for their service in His day, so it is with the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles today. What is Mormonism? OR What do Mormons believe?

Mormons believe that the Church that Jesus Christ established has been restored in its completeness in our day. The true beauty of this message is that we no longer have to guess at what the Lord's truth is, what His doctrine is, or what it is that He expects of us! Show more Show less
