Hi I'm Sister Pearl

I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love baking. Cake, pie, butter. I adore issuing forth the unremarkable, like egg yokes and baking soda, to create art not only for the eyes, but for stomachs as well. Perhaps it is the goddess within me that perpetuates these creative yearnings, the goddess I know I can become through my Savior. I also study English. I love words. Especially words that reveal what you have known your life long or experienced personally, but never could express. You will find these words in the Book of Mormon. Somewhere deep within your nature as a child of God, you will discover familiarity and peace in the Word of God. Read the Book of Mormon and discover your own divine nature.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that by abiding to the precepts of this Gospel on the Earth, I will find lasting and perfect joy. I'm a Mormon because it has taught me about the Atonement, the most important event in all of human history. Through the Atonement, the Savior knows every trial and joy you have felt throughout your entire life. Because of this, He can lead and guide you to eternal joy. He can shape you into your ideal self. Through Him, you can repent and always enjoy peace of conscience. I'm a Mormon because God has given us His authority to seal families together for not only time, but all eternity. Being a Mormon means you will live in absolute felicity with your loved ones in paradise forever. Why would I chose any other way to live!?

How I live my faith

I strive every day to be a representative here on Earth of our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ. I fail in many respects every day, but I cannot imagine a better way to live one's life. Right now, I have the blessing and opportunity to devote all of my time to this goal as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am serving for 18 months, in the China Hong Kong mission. I "stand all amazed" that my Heavenly Father has blessed me with the opportunity to share the most important message on Earth: Heavenly Father loves you, and deeply yearns for your return to Him. He has loving provided a way through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Sister Pearl
No, not all Mormons are required to serve missions. The prophet and our Heavenly Father has asked that all young men serve missions. They happily encourage young women and senior couples to also serve missions, but it is not required. It is an exceptional opportunity to be able share what has brought members so much joy with those who are seeking it, and therefore many Mormons greatly look forward to serving missions at some point in their life.
