Hi I'm Steven

I'm from the Great State of Ohio, I love sports, I love hip hop and country music, I am a student, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love Sports, Music, helping people, and really just having a good time. Naturally, I have a laid-back personality and I love to make people happy. I was a missionary for the LDS church in Fresno, CA and now, I'm a student at Brigham Young University - Idaho, studying Healthcare Administration.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in this church, but I did not receive a witness of the truthfulness of this church until a few years ago. For the most part, I've done the things my parents, who know these things to be true, have told me to do. That certainly helped me along, but I needed to know that these things were true for myself, as we all do. Because of an amazing experience, which cannot be fully described into words, I know without any doubt that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is God's Kingdom on the earth today and that the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I'm a Mormon, simply, because it makes sense to me and I believe that this is the true church of Jesus Christ on the Earth today. If you truly listen to the teachings of this Gospel and truly try to take it into your heart to see if these things are true, not trying to find the faults, it's pretty easy to see how this Gospel makes sense and can make you feel that there is something to this life, besides just living. I've seen the blessing of this knowledge and now, I am trying to help others find these truths and bring their families together forever.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by example and continuing to try to live my life in a way that Christ would do and a way that I can, ultimately, live with my family forever.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Steven
When the missionaries come to your home to share the message they bring, they will share a variety of different things, but they all stem from the Message of the Restorarion of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Our Heavenly Father's Great Plan of Salvation and Happiness, and All of the Commandments that God has given us. These things, if applied, will bring the Spirit of God into your home and wil bring the family closer together. Show more Show less

What is faith?

Steven
Faith is a belief of things that are hoped for and not seen. You don't always have a perfect and complete knowledge of everything, but you have the believe and the hope that you'll be blessed for the things you do in obedience to those things Show more Show less

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Steven
Just like in times of old in the Old Testament, with Soloman's temple or during the time of Moses, only people who are living God's commandments are able to enter into the temple. Temples aren't a place of secrecy or anything like that. It's the house of the Lord and it's a place where we make sacred promises, or covenants, with God. However, before a temple is dedicated as the House of the Lord, everyone may enter and see the beautiful temple. After that, it's consecrated to the Lord and His work. Show more Show less
