Hi I'm Glenn

I'm a retired United States Marine and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a retired United States Marine. I spent twenty years serving in many capacities that were required of me and traveled all over Europe and South East Asia. I started out as a Combat Engineer building embarkation boxes for shipping large supplies from one area to another; I served at two American Embassies as an Ambassador in Blues (Marine Security Guard), first in El Salvador, El Salvador and second, in Bonn Germany. Lastly, I spent the remaining sixteen years as a Purchasing and Contracting Specialist. That was not just a sit behind the desk job for Marines. It is not easy purchasing supplies in foreign countries that you can hardly understand the language. But, I volunteered for many of those assignments while I served because I enjoyed the challenge. When I choose to be a part of something I put my whole life into it. I joined the Marines because I knew it was the toughest fighting force America had to offer and It was the right thing for me to do. I was severely injured in the first Gulf War when I was tasked to take some supplies up north to Kuwait to a unit there. I incurred a severe head injury and now live on disability. I miss holding down a regular job but the Lord has asked me to live the way I am now. It gives me time to serve others where and when I am needed.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love to follow our savior Jesus Christ. I know that this IS His church. I know that by living this gospel I will come closer to Him than by any other means. This church does not give "lip service". There is no paid ministry; no one seeking power or privilege. All positions in the church are filled by members being called to serve in the various capacities on their own free will with the desire to serve God and magnify that calling. I live my life so that I am worthy to receive inspiration from the Holy Ghost at all times and in all places. Who wouldn't want that extra protection in this very troubled time that we are enduring?

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others, my community, my family. I just joined a group in my community called PLAN. They try to make life more enjoyable in our county. I try my best to be careful in what I say to my wife and to others. I like to converse with others about their feelings toward our Savior, Jesus Christ. I try to be a good friend to those that need a friend.
