Hi I'm Bill

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the son of immigrants, the father of 3, step father to 9, and grandfather of 9. I love ice hockey and football, although I haven't played either for many years. I like vegtable gardening, and canning fruits and vegtables for home food storage.

Why I am a Mormon

I converted to the Church many years ago and was the first member of my family to do so. When I was learning about the Church, all I kept thinking was that this was too good to be true. In the years since, I find that as I am faithful and obedient to the commandments, that the blessings of heaven are mine for the asking. It may not always be easy, but always worth the effort.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying each and every day to behave in such a way that if the Savior was within earshot (which He always is) He would approve of my thoughts, words and actions. I start and end my days with scripture study and prayer, because prayer is where I ask Father for the answers to my problems, and the scriptures is where he answers them. By aligning my will with Fathers, I am able to live in harmony with those around me, even with those who are not always nice or kind. Being of service to others is what the Savior did, and if I want the blessings of heaven, I must follow that example.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

The only way to know for sure is to ask God directly. That then begs the question, "How will I know when I get an answer?" You will know that the Holy Ghost has testified the truth of anything to you when you feel the warm tingling sensation in and around your heart. That feeling of peace and happiness is your assurance that God has heard your prayer, and has answered you. Show more Show less
