Hi I'm Ron

I'm a Mormon. I was born in Texas, and have lived in Las Vegas for 40 years, and am a muscle car enthusiast.

About Me

I am a convert to the church, baptised in Feb. 2008, I love the gospel, it has been a great blessing in my life. I look forward to bringing the knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ that I have been given to others. I have 2 children, and a grandson on the way due in Feb. 2011. They are not currently members of the church, however I look forward to the day when I can welcome them into the church. I enjoy classic american muscle cars, I build, repair, and restore them, as a proffesion, and hobby. I am a 40 year Nevada resident, moved from Arizona, Scottsdale and Phoenix.

Why I am a Mormon

That's a funny question...one of the reasons I'm a Mormon is because the Lord told me to be, seriously. The Lord spoke to me one day, just at the exact moment that I was pondering in my heart the things that were taking place in my life, and what to do about them, I was given a sign that could not be mistaken or denied, and was plain as word can be, and it said BMormon. I could no more deny this than Joseph Smith could deny the vision he had. Although it wasn't the same, it was just as plain to me. I have since come to know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true Church upon the earth, and that Jesus is the Christ, and my Father in Heaven loves all of us, and that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and Joseph Smith is the prophet called of God to restore the gospel, and we are led today by a living prophet, Thomas S. Monson. My tesitmony continues to grow, and includes all the principles of the gospel. I persued the course given in the introduction page to the Book of Mormon, that starts out by saying: We invite all men everwhere to read the Book of Mormon, and ponder in their hearts the message it contains, and then to ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ if the book is true. And it is true, and you can find this out for yourself as I did. There is no greater search in life that we can enbark upon that the quest to gain a testimony of the truth.

How I live my faith

I have made many changes in my life, that all include living the gospel, and keeping my appitites and passions within the bounds the Lord has set. I attend all of my church meetings, and never miss a Sunday at church. I listen and try to apply the teachings and lessons prepared in church into my life. I read and ponder the scriptures, pray daily, and thank my Father In Heaven for all things that He has blessed me with. In short everthing in my life has changed in the past 3 years, even down to the way I think, and talk. I attend the Temple as often as possible, and try to be actively engaged in the work of the Lord. This I do because of the knowledge of the gospel that I have been given.
