Hi I'm Meagan

I am a mom to two little girls. I recently graduated college. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a young mom to two little girls. I recently graduated college with a degree in political science. My husband is now in Medical School and I'm supporting him through that. We plan to homeschool our daughters. My interests include education, frugal living, and reading.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family, but throughout my life I've had many opportunities to choose differently, and haven't. I love living the Gospel. It's one thing that has brought me peace and happiness at all stages of my life.

How I live my faith

I am a music leader at church on Sundays and lead the women in hymns. I also have four other women who I'm assigned to visit every month to make sure that they are ok, and to help them if they need anything, from a listening ear to someone to pray with.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

We love the Bible and spend two years out of every four focusing on it during Sunday School. We believe the Bible to be the compiled works of several prophets or inspired men who taught their people. We especially love the New Testament as it gives us many of Christs own teachings. We realize, though, that the Bible has been around for a long time and has been translated over and over again and that it is not in its entirety. Officially, we believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly. This is why it is so amazing to have the Book of Mormon and Prophets now, because they help provide light on things that aren't in the Bible anymore. Show more Show less
