Hi I'm Tom

Was born and raised in Southern California. I'm a husband, father, and grandfather. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the father of 6 kids and the grandfather of 2 grandkids. I like to play sports, especially basketball and softball. I enjoy reading, riding my motorcycle and watching sports. I am trying to start a new hobby, model railroads. I am a licensed amateur radio operator HAM. One child has Autism so I participate in disability trainings and monitor issues for people with disabilities.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon, but at the age of 19, I wanted to know if the church that I went to was really the one true church of Christ on the earth. I took the Book of Mormon challenge and read and prayed if the Book of Mormon was, if Joseph Smith was truly a prophet and if this was Jesus Christ's church. I receive an answer through the Holy Ghost and from that time I have always had a personal testimony that this is the one true church of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I sometimes find living my faith to be difficult. We are much more than just a Sunday or Holiday Church. There are many opportunities in the church to serve. Trying to live a Christ-like life, work, serve in the church and raise a family is very time consuming but extremely rewarding and a child of God. I serve as the Sunday School President, I am responsible for how the gospel of is taught. I am also a Hometeacher with my son and we visit a wonder family each month. I help with emergency preparedness in our ward.
