Hi I'm Rob

I enjoy playing tennis, mountain biking and playing the piano. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Family is very important to me, and I am fortunate to have a great immediate and extended family who love and support each other. I enjoy the outdoors and enjoy visiting our country's National Parks. It helps me appreciate this beautiful earth that has been created by God for us to enjoy.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized a member of the Mormon church when I was 8 years old, and my faith in Jesus Christ has grown in each passing year. I read from the scriptures everyday and doing so has strengthened my belief that God lives, Jesus is the Christ, His church has been restored on the earth again (just as it was in ancient times) through the Prophet Joseph Smith, and that we have a living Prophet on the earth today to lead us through today's challenges.

How I live my faith

Music is an important part of my life. I enjoy playing the piano regularly in our church services for solo musical numbers and for people to sing. The hymns of the church help me feel closer to my Savior, Jesus Christ.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

In John 14:26 the Savior taught: "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." One way this is manifest to me is when I read from the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures each day. I have read these books of scripture many times, and although the words of the scriptures do not change, my life does. Each time I read from the scriptures something new stands out. Each time this happens I know it is the Comforter helping me understand a principle of the gospel that will bless my life at that particular moment. In the Book of Mormon we are taught that "by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things" (Moroni 10:5), and that the Holy Ghost "will show unto you all things what ye should do" (2 Nephi 32:5). I am grateful to my Heavenly Father for this blessing from reading the scriptures He has provided for us to bless our lives. Show more Show less
